Size: 0.7 oz (20 g) Obagi Tretinoin Cream 0.1% is the strongest concentration of tretinoin offered in a cream base and is fast acting, powerful and effective. It should be used only after the skin has been conditioned to the Obagi Tretinoin Cream 0.05% and should be used less frequently or discontinued if there is too much reaction to the product. This cream goes on smooth, is lightweight, and can help reduce the appearance and prevalence of acne breakouts, hyperpigmentation as well as the effects of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles. Obagi Tretinoin Cream 0.1% is especially useful for unsightly acne or wrinkles. Obagi Tretinoin Cream 0.1% stimulates the renewal and growth of healing skin cells and initial peeling of the skin is common. The end result is a smoother more radiant glow to the skin. Note: Tretinoin Cream 0.1% should only be used if you have previously conditioned your skin with Tretinoin Cream 0.05%. Please Note: Please follow instructions carefully to avoid any harsh skin reactions. The use of Hydroquinone and Retinol is not recommended during pregnancy or in children under the age of 12. It is not known whether topical Hydroquinoine or Retinol affects human milk, so its use is not recommended for nursing mothers. Hydroquinone and Retinol can cause sensitivity, so it is recommended to test a small amount of bleaching cream or gel on the skin and wait 24 hours. Minor redness is expected, but if you experience blistering or an excessive amount of inflammation discontinue use. If no lightening is noted after 2 months of treatment, the medication should also be discontinued. Regimen: Wash with a mild, non-medicated cleanser. Do not scrub. Allow skin to dry to 20-30 minutes before applying Tretinoin. It is important for skin to be completely dry to minimize irritation. Apply Tretinoin every other night with Obagi NuDerm Blender as directed by a physician. Use only half an inch of cream to spread over the face. Do not oversaturate the skin. Avoid the corners of the nose, mouth, eyes, and open wounds. If excessive peeling or irritation occurs, then reduce use to two nights a week. If redness, swelling, or irritation continues, discontinue use. Caution: Therapy with Tretenoin may make your skin more susceptible to sunburn and other adverse effects of the sun. Apply a moisturizer with sunscreen every morning after cleansing. Also, try to avoid excessive exposure to wind or cold. Be Patient: Tretinoin takes time to work deep within your skin. Some discomfort or peeling may occur in early days of treatment. This should subside in 2 to 4 weeks. By 3 to 6 weeks, acne may worsen. This is normal. Continue using Tretinoin and you should notice an improvement in 6 to 12 weeks.
